Homosexuals allowed to take communion

Published on 3 March 2010 - 7:17pm
More about:

All homosexuals can now attend communion in all parishes in the diocese of Den Bosch.

This is the outcome of a meeting between the church council of the main Roman Catholic church in the Netherlands, Saint Jan's in Den Bosch, priest Geertjan Van Rossum, Vera Bergkamp of the COC gay organisation and editor-in-chief of the newspaper Gaykrant.

"People should decide for themselves whether or not to attend communion whatever their sexuality and should do so with a clean conscience," said a spokesperson for the diocese.

Footage from Den Bosch:

As a result, the openly gay Carnival prince who was refused communion in the Brabant provincial town of Reusel should also receive communion. The church's refusal to give him communion sparked off protests at Roman Catholic church services up and down the Netherlands on Sunday.

During the protest, gay rights demonstrators dressed in pink with pink wigs walked out of the service at Saint Jan's after priest Geertjan van Rossum said "the correct experience of sexuality is part of the ten commandments".

Gay organisation COC and the Friends of Gaykrant are pleased with the "reconciliatory words" from the church council. Ms Bergkamp says, "The discussion has been initiated. The church council has indicated it wants a long-term contact."

The church council has called on demonstrators not to protest in church by wearing pink triangles or calling out slogans. The gay organisations have decided not to continue their protests on Sunday at communion. They hope their supporters will follow suit.

homosexuality is a sin in god's eyes

Hiram1 4 March 2010 - 12:15am / USA

"All homosexuals can now attend communion in all parishes in the diocese of Den Bosch.".....This is one reason why the Catholic Church is not Christ's Church but a Church in which priests sexually abuse those believers of Christ. The following are quotes from the Book of John: ( "5This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[b] sin.)"......How can one "walk" in the "darkness" of homosexuality and be in G-d's light? Where G-d's light is one can walk in the fellowship but when one walks in darkness as those sodomite priests do, they lie to themselves and do not live in the truth of Christ and His teachings. { "8If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives."........If one is a priest and gives gives Communion to a Gay person who refuses to recognise homosexuaily as a sin as taught in the Bible, the priest makes himself out to be a "liar" and his word has no place in a Christs Church of believers. How can one believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church if the Church practises and teaches the opposite of the roadmap(Bible) that G-d has provided by His Saints. { Read and study the Bible for the truth and don't justify your sin by twisting the truth to fit your sin. It hasn't and will not work. You are only fooling yourself!
