Following all-night riots in the German city of Hamburg, police have arrested 67 people. Twenty-seven police officers were injured in the violence. Two of them had to be treated in hospital.
The violence began following “Schanzenfest,” an annual street party for anti-capitalist youths. At one point, the partygoers built barricades and set fire to them, then began to throw fireworks and bottles at the police.
The police dispersed the rioters with water canons and truncheons. It was morning before the city's streets were once more peaceful.
