A recent survey of 1700 Haitian residents has revealed that their main concerns are about jobs, housing and schools. The survey also shows that they have little faith in the authorities to rebuild Haiti.
The Haitians say they want international organisations to be involved in the country’s reconstruction after a massive earthquake hit the Caribbean country on 12 January.
The survey was carried out by an independent Haitian research agency, on behalf of aid organisation Oxfam Novib.
More than a million people in Haiti have been living in extremely difficult circumstances since the devastating earthquake.
The figures come on the eve of a large international donor conference in New York on Wednesday.
Delegates from more than 100 countries will discuss funding for a reconstruction plan.
On Tuesday, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called on the international community to provide 12 billion dollars for a total plan for the reconstruction of Haiti.
