Protesting Greek farmers have again blockaded the main border crossing between Greece and Bulgaria.
The farmers are demanding government support and an end to cheap imports of agricultural produce, which they say is transported into Greece from overseas via Bulgaria. The goods are then wrongly sold as originating from Greece, the protestors claim. The farmers have promised to reopen the border for a few hours on Wednesday afternoon.
Bulgaria says days of blockades have already cost its economy 40 million euros. Sofia is claiming 10 million euros in damages from the Greek government.
