Supporters of Iranian opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi have again taken to the streets of the capital Tehran to demand a rerun of Friday's presidential elections.
Mr Mousavi had urged his followers to stay home to avoid further clashes with supporters of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who, according to official results, won a landslide. At least eight opposition protesters have been killed in confrontations over the past few days. Local media say tens of thousands are demonstrating in the capital. The situation is reportedly calm, with riot police on stand-by.
Mr Mousavi has accused President Ahmadinejad of rigging the vote and is demanding a complete rerun of the election. Iran's supreme spiritual leader Ali Khamenei says he supports a partial recount in disputed districts. The hard-line Guardian Council is reported to be considering a similar advice.
