France's Louvre Museum is returning five fresco fragments to Egypt after Cairo protested they had been stolen from a tomb in Luxor.
Egypt had threatened to stop cooperating with Paris unless the pieces were returned. As a result, Louvre could have seen its archaeological digs in Egypt halted. France has pledged to return the object in a matter of weeks.
