In tennis today the Netherlands lost its last duo against France in the Davis Cup World Group play-offs in Maastricht to France. The final score was 4-1 in favour of France.
The Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeated Thiemo de Bakker 7-6, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6. Then Jérémy Chardy won the last game against his Dutch opponent Jesse Huto Galung in two sets (6-3, 6-2).
France has maintained a place in the Davis Cup semi-finals. The Netherlands, however, is now in a lower division.
