In Italy, four people died when a rescue helicopter crashed on the way to a mountain slope at the ski resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
The helicopter was carrying a medical team to the site of a small landslide, where a number of people had been injured. The helicopter had been flying for only a few minutes when the accident happened. It is thought that poor weather conditions caused the pilot to crash into power lines.
