Vaccinations against influenza A (H1N1) have not caused any significant side effects, a report by the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) shows.
During the vaccination campaign, a number of groups claimed the vaccines were not safe. According to EMEA, of the 36 million people vaccinated only 13,000, or 0.04 percent, reported any side effects. The agency also notes that most of the reported side effects were not serious.
The EMEA also says it failed to find any evidence to substantiate claims that the vaccines could increase the chance of miscarriage.
