Britain's Automobile Association reports that British motorists are less likely to get stuck in a traffic jam these days.
Over the past two years, tailbacks have decreased by one third as a result of the economic recession and rising petrol prices. Meanwhile, the number of people working from home or taking public transport to work has gone up.
The Automobile Association's research also shows an increase in tailbacks on Fridays and public holidays. This is because the crisis is causing more people to take the car for a holiday closer to home.
