A statue of Swiss footballer Blaise N’Kufo is to be placed outside the Grosch Veste stadium in the Dutch town of Enschede.
The statue is being made in honour of the striker’s record number of goals during his time with FC Twente.
The supporters want to set up a garden with statues of players who are important to the club.
The next likely candidate for a statue is goalkeeper Sander Boschker, because he has played the most games ever with the southern Dutch club.
N’Kufo intends to stop playing for FC Twente after this season. His statue will probably be unveiled during the last home match of the season.
