Former Dutch Judo champion Anthonie Wurth has been quarantined in a Shanghai hotel because he may have been infected with Mexican flu.
On Wednesday, he flew from Melbourne to China where he owns a business. Also on the plane was a passenger who was later diagnosed with Mexican flu. A day after his arrival, the authorities took him to a hotel in a Shanghai suburb where he will have to stay for a week.
Mr Wurth told the Dutch news agency ANP he was feeling fine. "Every two hours, my temperature is taken and men in white suits come and clean my room". Anthonie Wurth won the Dutch championships several times, and became European champion in the category 73-81 kilos in 1991.
