Eurostar trains are once more running through the Channel Tunnel on the high-speed route between Paris and London.
After the recent severe winter weather forced five trains to a halt in the tunnel on Friday night, Eurostar cancelled all travel between the two capitals.
Due to the continuing bad weather, however, only a limited service has been resumed. Passengers who have been waiting for several days to travel are being given preference.
Eurostar has promised it will do its very best to ensure that everyone gets home for Christmas.
The resumption of service came the day after French President Nicolas Sarkozy ordered Eurostar boss Guillaume Pépy to get the trains running again. Read more here.
