Europa League football results

Published on 17 December 2009 - 9:30pm
More about:

In their final match in the Europa League group phase, Amsterdam's Ajax club has been beaten 3-1 by the Brussels club, Anderlecht. Ajax had already qualified to go through to the next round of the competition, but tonight's result means the Belgian club also goes through.

The Dutch team, FC Twente are still in with a chance of qualifying for the next round of the Europa League. However, to do so, they will have to beat Steaua Bucharest in Romania. If they don't, their position will depend on the result of the match between the Turkish club, Fenerbahce, who are already through, and Sheriff Tiraspol from Moldova.

I would wish both the teams all the best and it would be good to see the match too.
