Easy win for the Netherlands

Published on 10 June 2009 - 11:03pm
More about:

The Netherlands national football team continued its 100 percent record in the World Cup qualifiers with a 2-0 win against Norway on Wednesday evening.

With the Dutch team already through to the finals of the competition following the win against Iceland at the weekend this was always going to be a somewhat academic affair.

And in the end it was an easy win - defender Andre Ooijer scoring the first after 32 minutes and Arjen Robben getting the second five minutes into the second half.

The Dutch have now won seven out of seven of their qualifiers for the World Cup finals in South Africa - scoring 16 goals and conceding only two.
