Dutch transport worried by cabinet collapse

Published on 20 February 2010 - 1:13pm
More about:

The Dutch transportation branch says it fears that the government's collapse will hamper its efforts to recover from the economic downturn.

Branch organisation Transport and Logistics Netherlands is calling on the outgoing cabinet to do all it can in the months ahead to boost economic recovery. A spokesperson said he expects that the infrastructure projects that are currently being accelerated under an emergency law will go ahead as planned. An emergency bill introduced by Transport Minister Camiel Eurlings means that construction of rush hour lanes and other road improvement is being sped up at 30 locations across the country.
