More about:

FC Groningen proved too strong for Heerenveen for the second time this season, winning 2-0 at home in the Euroborg stadium on Wednesday evening.

Tim Matavz and Andreas Granqvist scored the goals for Groningen. The result means Groningen has moved to tenth place in the Dutch Premier League. Heerenveen is fourteenth.

Lesley Fellinga, a former player for both clubs and a Haitian international, organised a collection around the match for the victims of the Haitian earthquake.
