      Dutch navy frigate heads for Somalia

      A Dutch frigate has set sail for Somalia to take over command of ten European navy vessels helping fight pirates and protect UN food transports.

       

      HMS Evertsen will head EU mission Atalanta as of 13 August. It is her second tour of duty to the impoverished and war-torn country in two years. HMS De Ruyter and De Zeven Provinciën also have patrolled Somalia's coastal waters.
