This week's new entries:
5. Doluv2luvu – Ilse DeLange
Ilse DeLange had her big break in 1998 with her debut album World of Hurt, which went on to sell more than 500,000 copies in the Netherlands – still the best-selling Dutch debut album ever. In the years that followed, Ilse built up a healthy career with songs that usually combined pop, country and ‘rootsy’ influences. For her new album, however, she’s been through a major stylistic overhaul. Doluv2luvu (or “Do love to love you” in plain English) is a high energy record that will raise a few eyebrows among her fans.
9. What have you done – Anouk
If you’re looking for a good break-up song, check Anouk’s latest album. It was inspired by her latest break up and the record is genuinely heartbreaking at times. Just listen to What have you done and you’ll understand. No wonder it’s ranked among Anouk’s best albums ever.
