More about:

This week’s RNW Music Monday Dutch Top 10 (week beginning 14 May 2012):

Dutch DJ Afrojack’s recent hit, Can’t stop me, has been loitering in the lower reaches of our chart, but this week the song is catapulted into the top three from last week’s number nine. This means the long-lived Ik neem je mee by Gers Pardoel falls to number 4, its lowest position since late March. But there’s no need to worry for Gers, as his Bagagedrager remains on top in its 21st chart week.

There’s only one new entry this week - Bløf’s Later als ik groter ben (Later, when I grow up) - while Kyteman Orchestra’s The Mushroom Cloud fell off the chart after a solitary week.

3 (9) Can’t stop me – Afrojack & Shermanology (7 wks)

7 (6) I am hunter – Miss Montreal (4 wks)
8 (-) Later als ik groot ben (Later, when I grow up) – Bløf (1 wk)
9 (8) Vrij (Free)– Nick & Simon (5 wks)
10 (7) Lose it – Waylon (7 wks)

8. Later als ik groot ben – Bløf
Dutch band Bløf celebartes its 20th anniversary this year and they do so with a new album, a book and a new single: Later als ik groter ben, the title of which is a play on the phrase Later als ik groot ben (Later, when I grow up), but here it’s a superlative (“When I’m even bigger”). Not a very appropriate title for a band that’s twenty years old and that’s been huge for the last fourteen years!
