A Dutch man has been arrested for possession of child pornography in the South Indian city of Chennai. The man has been living in India for 30 years.

A computer at his home contained pornographic videos featuring foreign children. The arrest was made following a tip-off by an organisation against child abuse. It is not known when the man's case will come to court. If convicted he could face a seven-year prison sentence.

Some years ago he was also charged with child abuse in an orphanage he had opened in Chennai and since that time has been free on bail.
