Dutch Foreign Ministry revokes Mexico warning

Published on 9 June 2009 - 8:46pm
More about:

On 28 April, the ministry issued a warning to people wanting to travel to Mexico, due to the outbreak of Mexican flu. However, the ministry now says it has become clear that, in general, the current outbreak is not very dangerous. It also points out that the virus has now spread to 73 other countries, including the Netherlands, and that this makes a specific warning about travelling to Mexico redundant.

The ministry continues to advise travellers to Mexico to be careful and says people who return from the country with a fever or breathing problems should visit their doctor immediately.
