Colombian President Alvaro Uribe has got the Mexican flu.
An official statement says he is not gravely ill, and will continue to perform his duties.
Mr Uribe fell ill after a visit to a summit of Unasur (Union de Naciones Suramericanas) in the Argentinian city of Bariloche on Friday.
The Colombian government has notified the other participants to the summit.
It is not known if other presidents have been infected.
