The Classical Music Prizes awarded by Dutch theatres and concert halls have been announced at a ceremony in Rotterdam.

The award for a large ensemble went to Amsterdam's Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, which the jury praised for rejuvenating itself while preserving its distinctive sound. The Amsterdam Capella chamber choir received the prize for a small ensemble. The prize for best individual performance was given to the Greek violinist Leonidas Kavakos, whom the jury described as a virtuoso endowed with an impressive technique. The award in the category for a new generation went to mezzo-soprano Cora Burggraaf.
