Argentinian hospitals make room for flu

Emergency measures are being taken in Argentina to cope with the intake of Mexican flu patients.

 

Many hospitals are suspending non-urgent operations in order to make room for flu patients. The government is also sending mobile clinics to poor neighbourhoods where the virus is spreading quickly.

Twenty-one people have died in Argentina as a result of H1N1 inflection. Only Mexico and the United States have a higher death toll. According to the Argentinian Ministry of Health, almost 1400 people are infected with the flu virus.
