Internet video website Youtube has opened an Anne Frank Channel with footage of the young Holocaust victim. The film shows the only existing moving pictures of the Jewish girl, who hid with her family in the secret annex in a house in Amsterdam to escape persecution by the Nazis during the Second World War. The film was made on the wedding day of Anne’s next door neighbour.
The Youtube channel has been opened to mark the 50th anniversary of the Anne Frank House next year. The museum shows how the Frank family tried to escape deportation to Nazi concentration camps during the German occupation of the Netherlands; as well as generally promoting tolerance.
The family was eventually betrayed and deported to different concentration camps. Anne Frank died with her sister in Bergen Belsen concentration camp in 1945.
Shortly before the family went into hiding Anne received a diary. After the war her diaries were published and she became a symbol of the holocaust.
The channel features videos of Nelson Mandela and Emma Thompson speaking about Anne Frank. It shows views of the chestnut tree outside her window, which itself is under threat. Visitors to the site can make a virtual tour of the secret annex.

Today internet users are provided with the facility of watching online videos and TV channels but searching for this was very time consuming. I love to watch online TV channels and its a great news that some of the sites are also providing the selection or list of best video channels for people.
