In Pakistan, the brother of wanted Afghan warlord Sirajuddin Haqqani has been killed by a United States drone in North Waziristan.

Mohammed Haqqani was a younger brother of Sirajuddin. US troops in Afghanistan regard the latter as a key leader, connected to Taliban and al-Qaeda militants in Afghanistan. There is a five million dollar reward for his capture. Sirajuddin took over command of the Haqqani network from his father, the well-known Soviet resistance commander Jalaluddin Haqqani.
