More about:

Afghan President Hamid Karzai has presented his new cabinet in parliament.

The presentation of the 23 cabinet nominees turned into a stormy discussion about the legitimacy of the process. When a preliminary list was unveiled on Friday, many MPs criticised that President Karzai's plan to keep most ministers of his outgoing cabinet. The MPs also accuse the ministers of extensive corruption. One of the few new candidates is warlord Ismael Khan, who garnered the support of many voters for the president.
