At least 80 people have been killed in a car bomb attack in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.
The bomb went off in the busy Peepal Mandi market in the northwestern city. A house collapsed as a result of the explosion, and several shops caught fire. The attack coincides with a visit by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She arrived in the capital Islamabad just hours before the attack took place. Her three-day visit is intended to make a new start in US-Pakistani relations. The United States considers Pakistan an important ally in its fight against the Taliban and al-Qaeda.
