An Argentinian priest has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for paedophilia.

A court in Buenos Aires found him guilty of sexually abusing an underage boy. The judges said that the fact that the child had been entrusted to his care counted against the priest.

The priest, Julio Grassi, says he is innocent and has appealed against his conviction. He will remain free as long as his appeal is pending, but may not leave the country or get into contact with three other minors who were once under his care.
