      14-year-old Dutch racer joins McLaren

      A 14-year-old Dutch kart racer, Nyck de Vries, has been put under contract by the McLaren Formula 1 team.

       

      He will join Mclaren's young driver development programme. Anthony Hamilton, the father of former Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, will manage the young star's rise as a junior in the team.
