At least 14 people have been killed in mudslides caused by heavy rainfall on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.
At least seven others were hurt when around 20 houses were buried under a deluge of mud. The stricken area is in the mountainous southern region of the island.
On another Indonesian island, Sumbawa, one person has been killed in an earthquake. More than 80 others were injured in the tremor which registered 6.7 on the Richter scale.
The epicentre lay 15 kilometres northwest of the island's capital Raba. A bridge was destroyed and scores of buildings damaged. No tsunami warning was issued.
Almost the whole of Indonesia is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, which is notorious for its earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. In September more than 1000 people were killed in an earthquake in West Sumatra.
