At least 12 people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack on a police station in the town of Mingora in Pakistan's Swat valley. The suicide bomber walked into the building and blew himself up. Most of the victims were recruits.
For the past six months, the Pakistani army has been engaged in an offensive against Taliban fighters in the Swat valley. A government official says more than 80 percent of the valley's two million people have already returned home. They fled the area when the army launched its offensive in April.
