It is 25-year-old Joshua van Eijndhoven’s dream to see the world from his sailing boat. But not just that, he wants to leave something positive behind in the countries he visits and for the people who travel with him. That is why he is going to teach people in the places he goes to: “I want to create a positive wave across the world; meet, experience and give something back.”
Joshua wants to share his experiences with other people and that is why he wants to take passengers – for long or short periods - with him on his journey. People can climb on and off board during the trip.
“I think it is very special that I can make this trip and that is why I want to give as many people as possible a chance to experience it too and to grow as a human being.”
Preparations underway
The preparations are fully underway, because he is due to leave in October. They he will be gone for three years. Joshua wants to sail via the islands of the Caribbean, across the Pacific, along the Polynesian islands to Australia, via South Africa to the coast of Latin America and back across the Atlantic Ocean to the Netherlands.
Radio Netherlands Worldwide will follow Joshua now and then during the sailing trip.
