Ingabire: "Kagame should assume his responsibility"

Published on : 21 October 2010 - 5:52pm | By RNW Africa Desk (Screenshot Video)
More about:

Victoire Ingabire, leader of the opposition party United Democratic Forces in Rwanda, who was already under judicial control, was arrested once again on October 14 in Kigali. She is accused of “organising a terrorist group”.

Back from the Netherlands in January, where she spent 16 years in exile, Ingabire was first arrested on April 21 in Kigali. She was then prosecuted by the Rwandan justice for “association with a terrorist group, propagation of an ideology of genocide, revisionism and ‘sectarianism’.”

Shortly before her second arrest, Dutch freelance journalist Anneke Verbraeken met up with her in Kigali.

The Rwandan government's virulent reaction against the Leaked UN report, are in total contradiction with the hate speeches of President Paul Kagame, who has often praised the actions of the Rwandan army in the DRC. Watch the video to learn more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqHhJRidizc
