Published on : 24 December 2009 - 7:36pm | By RNW Radio Netherlands Worldwide
More about:

Fun in Africa is a new series from Radio Netherlands Worldwide, featuring exciting stand-up comedy performances on our Africa website.

The idea behind it: to provide a platform for up and coming talents in stand-up comedy from Africa.

So if you think you can tear us to shreds and make us fall off the couch with your jokes, don’t delay!

Send us an email at and through our website get a chance to be on an international stage.

We lift the curtain on this new series with Willis Wayne, a shear talent from Kenya.

With thanks to Jack Shaka (Kenya) for his precious collaboration.

Watch Kody, the stand-up comedian on our French site.

Note: Next week we have a break. So we see you again for more fun in January 2010.

Fun in Africa

Who is Willis Wayne?

Born on 1 April 1987, Willis Wayne Raburu is currently a final year Media student at Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya where he is taking media studies.

He began doing stand-up comedy in the mid-2006 at Moi University and was a finalist in the annual Culture Week Talent search.

Wayne is also an actor and spent a lot of time doing school plays while still at Chemilil Academy. Why standing up? Just for a good laugh.
