Mirjam van den Berg is a journalist and producer with the African desk of Radio Netherlands Worldwide. She makes multimedia web reports in English and French and is a budding radio journalist.

Her areas of expertise include development issues, everything ‘green’ and the rise of new and social media, particularly in Africa. Coincidentally, these are also things she’s genuinely interested in!
 
Prior to joining RNW, she travelled off the beaten track and reported from development countries and emergency areas for several international NGOs.
 
Having had a soft spot for photography for years, she decided to take things one step further and enrolled in the Dutch Fotoacademie where, for the next three years, she’ll be having fun with documentary and portrait photography.
