Flags, music and hope; lots of hope. Most people remember their country’s independence day with great emotion. In Zimbabwe, the hope for better times was soon overshadowed by social and economic decline and political repression. Yet Zimbaweans remain hopeful.
In this edition, Zimbabweans Lovemore Matombo and Gabriel Shumba remember independence day on April 18th, in 1980.
