Although Africa is becoming increasingly urban, agriculture still forms the basis of its livelihoods. However, over the past forty years , agricultural production has declined in Africa. Farmers do not always respond to the needs of the market.
In this programme, we feature Niels Hansen, a Dutch agronomist who lives in Africa. Hansen is busy trying to help farmers increase and diversify their production in order to make more money. He works with a project called “Markets”.
