Africa in Progress - Dealing with infertility in Africa

On air: 28 June 2010 9:55 - 4 July 2010 9:55 (Photo: Flickr CC)

More about:

Children bring joy to families  all over the world. In Africa, this is taken even more seriously. A childless family is viewed as incomplete and unfortunate. Today, with two experts, we discuss how infertility affects families in Africa and what is being done to address the problem. We also hear from the mother of baby Hanatu who was born through IVF, In Vitro Fertilisation.

Our guests on this show are Otto Nzapfurundi Chabukuli (South Africa), Ibrahim Wada (Nigeria), Patricia Kupchi (Nigeria).

Producer: Aveseh Asough

Asough Aveseh,
As I write this message of congratulation, I am listening to the Radio programme and hearing your voice and the voices of the two fertility experts, Nzapfurundi Chabukuli (South Africa), Ibrahim Wada (Nigeria), and the Lady, Patricia Kupchi (Nigeria). I once got your picture, now I have heard your voice on Radio Netherlands, chances are that one day we shall meet face to face.

Congratulations.
