Africa in Progress - Community radio: A voice for women

On air: 5 October 2009 22:00 - 12 October 2009 22:00

More about:

Development experts and women's groups all recognise just how important it is for communities to give a voice to their women. Community radio has been instrumental in empowering women and allowing them to speak and be heard.

In this programme, we discuss women's participation in community radio, and the impact this has had on their communities.

Our guests are: Uomy Cantome Sarr (Senegal), Lydia Ajono (Ghana) and Miriam Menkiti (Nigeria)
