I think, the food for class strategy isn't a good idea. Parents should be told the benefits of education and the government should act responsibly. In Karamoja, the semi arid north east of Uganda; the World Food Programme offers food to the nomads (Karimajong) but it gives priority to school going children, well this is working now but can it be sustained?
Iam from that side of the country and my parents were never 'paid' or lured with food to take me to school, so i believe there are parents who can still do that if the government subsidies education.
