Wilders demands explanation from Germany

Dutch Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders wants the Dutch government to demand an explanation from the German ambassador regarding a German leaflet that warns against extreme-right wing ideas. Mr Wilders’ PVV party is explicitly mentioned in the text.

Mr Wilders call on the government - which his party supports in parliament on various key policy issues -follows reports in national daily De Telegraaf alleging that the German justice ministry paid for the leaflet. Mr Wilders tweeted on Thursday that the government should “Give the ambassador a proper talking to about scandalous suggestion regarding PVV ideology.”
