Two strikers shot dead at S. Africa coal mine: report

Two striking miners were shot by security guards on Wednesday as they attempted to reach the armoury of a coal mine in South Africa, local media reported.

"Around 10:30 am some of the workers apparently attempted to break into an armoury on the mine and they were dispersed by mine security," Colonel Jay Naicker of the South African police told local news agency SAPA.
