An Angolan court on Wednesday sentenced a man to 24 years jail for committing "armed rebellion" in a deadly attack on Togo's football team during the Africa Cup of Nations in January, a lawyer said.
"Joao Antonio Puati is sentenced to 24 years," his lawyer Jose Manuel told AFP by telephone.
A second suspect on trial named Daniel Simba was acquitted of involvement in the attack, which killed two members of the Togolese delegation and injured the team's goalkeeper.
