Security not compromised in KPN hack

Published on 11 February 2012 - 6:14pm
More about:

The digital break in at Dutch Telecom Company KPN has in no way compromised the security of ICT systems used by the government and vital sectors of society.

This is the conclusion of an investigation into the hack by the National Cyber Security Centre.

A spokesperson for the justice ministry said that KPN is responsible for putting a good digital lock on its door. Justice Minister Ivo Opstelten has agreed to a request from parliament to provide further clarification about the course of events.
