S. Africa's Malema charged with money laundering

South African populist firebrand Julius Malema was charged with money laundering in court Wednesday, in a case that his supporters say is politically motivated.

"The accused is appearing before the honourable court on charges of money laundering, of receiving the proceeds of unlawful activities," prosecutor Billy Moalosi told a court in the northern province of Limpopo.
