Central Cheetahs wing Ryno Benjamin was given a two-week Super 15 ban Monday for head-butting Melbourne Rebels centre and captain Stirling Mortlock in a weekend match.

Benjamin received a red card in the closing minutes of the southern hemisphere championship match at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein and Mortlock got a yellow card for retaliating.

The suspension rules Benjamin out of South African derbies against defending Northern Bulls in Pretoria next Saturday and Coastal Sharks in Bloemfontein the following weekend.
