RKC Waalwijk keep Heracles Almelo at bay

Published on 15 April 2012 - 8:15pm
More about:

RKC Waalwijk have realised their objective for this season and are hoping for more. Their one-all tie against Heracles Almelo means a major competitor for a place in the play-offs for the Europa League has been kept at a four-point distance.

Heracles scored the first goal of the Premier League match just before half time: Lerin Duarte put the ball behind RKC goalie Jeroen Zoet via the back of team mate Samuel Armenteros. Jeff Stans scored the equaliser for RKC just a few minutes after half time. Both teams received plenty of opportunities in the final phase of the match to decide it in their favour, but the score remained at 1-1.
