Paul McCartney is coming to the Netherlands. The former Beatle will perform in concert on 24 March in Rotterdam’s Ahoy venue as part of his ‘On the Run’ tour which began in New York last July, event organiser Mojo Concerts announced today.
The On The Run tour, a clear homage to his famed Band on the Run period in the 1970s, includes a medley of hits from both his Beatles years and the period with his band Wings. McCartney will also perform some of his solo repertoire.
On Thursday, McCartney, 69, finally got his own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, becoming the last of the four Beatles to get the honour. McCartney's star was placed outside the Capitol Records building, alongside those of band members John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
McCartney will wrap the whole tour in his hometown of Liverpool. Ticket sales for the Dutch On the Run concert begin on 15 February.
